Good article, lots of detailed research is involved. Some areas could use different words for the sake of academic writing, such as "based on some of the BFI script submissions she deemed were bad", you could write "unsatisfactory" instead of "bad". The sentence "to help her build the cinematic structure" seems a little vague. What is the cinematic structure? Do you mean the narrative? The genre? Otherwise, great article. If you can find an image of Tess Morris, it would make it that much greater.
