This is a very lengthy article (and I'm sure it's a great event), but there are no sources cited at all (i.e. first to use hard hats, etc.). The "list" format is very unencyclopedic as well. I suggest someone who has a passion for this article clean it up significantly or consider merging with
Eastern State Penitentiary, but in a much briefer version.

Another quick glance at the history of this article, created by "
User:Easternstate" a month shy of the event's opening, and only a handful of edits all about the same event, implies this is just a marketing gimmick or
sneaky advertising. Possible deletion candidate?

I'll respond to that, as I did most of the edits (I'm not logged into the name, so you can choose to believe me or not). A merger is perfectly approrpriate. However, I don't think this is a deletion candidate. I read through sneaky advertising, and the only point of contention is the neutrality of the article, not the motive behind its creation. And, I think, it maintains its neutrality... and therefore is not, according to Wiki standards, considered sneaky advertising.
As for sources to link to... I don't think there's any information about it anywhere. It's not something we really talk about much, because no one really cares about it. I personally think it's cool: things like the fact that there are no electric chair scenes, or hangings, or anything like that, is really cool. Most people just want to know about the ghosts (if they exist) and all that stuff. So, that's also a reason I put this article up; to create a source for these little tidbits that I think are cool.
If anyone wants to clean this up to make it more encyclopedic, do so. But, try to keep in those cool little things that make it so unique... I love em, and I hope other people can love them too.

I think if it's unverifiable, it's unencyclopedic, isn't it? And if, as you say, no one really cares about it, I wonder if it meets notability requirements to have its own article. I still suggest it should be cropped down and merged with
Eastern State Penitentiary. Lots of tourist attractions sponsors events, but I don't think they each need their own page. Make sense? (As an aside, Eastern State is amazing. Everyone should check it out)

Well, technically... most encyclopdedias don't really list their sources. Wiki is a reference encyclopdiea, so, for this, it is uncyclopedic. Which is kind of sad, as not all information is on the web (especially some older stuff). But, yeah, can't say I disagree with a merger.
