As it was a personal snapsnot that was only purchased by the NPG in 2003 and I could find no evidence if it being published previously I have used Template:PD-US-unpublished -

File:Leslie Hore.jpg will be deleted for still being in US copyright, so delete it now
a united commanding officer and the general What does this mean, both had to make a recommendation?
I think it's a typo/autocorrect for "unit's commanding officer". I've reworded to address this and make it clearer (hopefully!) -

Be consistent about using title case for your article and book titles in the bibliography.
Thankyou for your review and kind words. It was a long time in the writing (started in 2012 and only put to mainspace in 2019, with some big gaps in between), but I enjoyed getting it there. I'd like to take it further if possible but it's a very long time since I put anything up at A-class review. Is it worth a shot or does you think further work is needed first? -

You've stats, quotes by famous people, what's not to like? I think that it's worthy of A class so I'd submit it. One thing, though, be sure to link the various ranks and unit sizes on their first appearance. You've done that for some, but not all.--
