I am wondering whether we should rename the article to Temple of the Tooth. Simple Google scholar and Google books search revealed following results
search | sri dalada maligawa | dalada maligawa | temple of the tooth |
---|---|---|---|
scholar | 168 | 232 | 38,500 |
books | 659 | 732 | 2870 |
Besides my Cambridge paperback encyclopedia ,
ISBN
81-7596-073-6 {{
citation}}
: Missing or empty |title=
(
help) also gives the name Temple of the Tooth. Therefore according to
WP:PLACE could we adopt the English name?--

This is the most sacred place of worldwide Buddhists. The Original name of this is Sri Dalada Maligawa( ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාව) (In Sinhala,Pali,Sanskrutha). The original name of the place should not convert into English or other language because of this is the name of the place and 100% of religious pilgrimages called this place as Sri Dalada Maligawa ( ශ්රී දළදා මාලිගාව).The page heading should be changed as Sri Dalada Maligawa.
