Considering synagogues as temples in Jewish religion is wrong. Temples and synagogues are not the same. The introductory paragraph is misleading. George Rodney Maruri Game ( talk) 17:08, 6 March 2024 (UTC) reply

That was the least of the problems, though you are perhaps seeing a definable difference between the words that doesn't actually exist. The English terms for different places of worship are a matter of convention than any really clear distinction, & lots of synagogues use "Temple" in their name, for historical reasons the article explains. I've rewritten the lead, as churches and mosques are not "temples" either, in normal usage. Johnbod ( talk) 20:59, 6 March 2024 (UTC) reply
