The Temagami Land Caution was a territorial dispute in the Temagami area of Northeastern Ontario, Canada. It was applied in 1973 by the local Aboriginal community of Teme-Augama Anishnabai as a way of maintaining 10,000 km² (3,900 sq mi) of land that they claimed ...

An Indian reserve of one square mile was created on Bear Island in Lake Temagami prior to the Temagami Land Caution. As far as I am aware of, the Teme-Augama Anishnabai didn't have aboriginal title to the land they claimed during the land caution. Volcano guy 10:40, 3 November 2012 (UTC) reply

The Temagami Land Caution was lifted in 1995 as a result of a court order by the Supreme Court of Canada.
