Shouldn't there be somthing about critisism of the company? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 195.134.32.224 ( talk) 10:58, August 29, 2006 (UTC

I changed and corrected the name of the president, and added some facts about Telenor's current strategy. I wonder about the COMSAT satellitte communications deal with Lockheed, I've never heard of it and doubt that Telenor owns this company (I should know, since I'm vice president of Telenor...). 83.109.107.214 ( talk) 15:40, 9 April 2008 (UTC)
The founding date stated in the article is that of the former state-controlled Televerket and does not apply to Telenor. Telenor was founded in 2000: http://w2.brreg.no/enhet/sok/detalj.jsp?orgnr=982463718 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.88.248.43 ( talk) 16:00, 19 May 2008 (UTC)
The name of the company should be changed from "Telenor" to "Telenor Group" Wich is the new official name. The same with the logo. I've tried to change it before, but it was quickly reversed to the old Telenor logo. ref.: link Telenor Group

I suggest adding a note about the failed merger with Telia of Sweden in the late 1990's, a merger that fell through because of acute megalomania among the Norwegian politicians of the time, who seriously believed that Norwegians would dominate the top leadership of the merged company, including getting both the post of chairman of the board and CEO, even though the merged company would be about 60% Swedish owned (Telia) and only about 40% Norwegian owned (Telenor). When the Swedish government told the Norwegians that there was no way Sweden would accept such an arrangement, the merger was called off... Allan Akbar ( talk) 22:12, 5 June 2011 (UTC)
This article, if reduced to unsourced statements, would be a stub. Even though its on the English Wikipedia, non-English language sources are acceptable. I've just been though and tagged recent unsourced statements (previous ones date back years), if anyone can source them, even from non-English sources, please do.
