I propose that this article be moved to Communications in the Republic of Ireland as this is what the page is actually dealing with, not communications in Ireland as a whole. Ben W Bell 10:19, 30 January 2006 (UTC)
I don't see a source cited for the percentage breakdown of users of the different mobile networks in Ireland. If there was one I could correct the mistake where the percentages add up to 101.6%! Obviously someone made a mistake there.

NB: Do not use the CIA world book as a source. The information about Irish telecoms is incredibly out of date and seems to have last been updated in about 1990! The information in this article is accurate and reasonably up to date. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 95.44.82.237 ( talk) 11:58, 14 April 2014 (UTC)

Far too much focus on Telecom Éireann's ancient history and Eir. It has 48% of a shrinking fixed line business (many, many times smaller than the mobile market). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:BB6:381D:6B58:C93D:F56:A23F:1D1E ( talk) 21:44, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
