Name

This glider appears in the literature as both Nibbio and Nibio. Only the first of these has an appropriate Italian meaning (Kite). I asked Vincenzo Pedrielli about this since he uses Nibio, is Italian and wrote the Italian Veteran Gliders book which provides most of the information. He replied that in Italian it would be Nibbio but to Teichfuss, who was a German speaking Swiss, Nibio looked and sounded right. Finding a cite for this may be difficult, though.
