![]() | On 6 July 2021, it was proposed that this article be moved from Taxicab to Taxi. The result of the discussion was moved. |
The result of the move request was: moved. There is a clear consensus that Taxi is the common name. ( closed by non-admin page mover) Lennart97 ( talk) 12:10, 13 July 2021 (UTC)
Taxicab → Taxi – Taxi is probably the most common form compared to taxicab. Taxi is common in non-English speaking countries compared to the current title. Interstellarity ( talk) 12:08, 6 July 2021 (UTC)
A discussion is taking place to address the redirect
Taxie. The discussion will occur at

Should add a section called "Police" where it talks about Undercover Taxis and Police cars repainted with a police livery at the front and a taxi livery at the rear?

This article already has a whole lot of images, so I hesitate to add another, but File:The Town Crier, v.12, no.51, Dec. 22, 1917 - DPLA - faa354bbccb444d93d1d37e11c751e3f (page 16).jpg is a 1917 article in a Seattle magazine about Frank Waterhouse's Seattle Taxicab and Transfer Company hiring seven women cab drivers, apparently a first (at least for the U.S.). We have very little in the article about the demographics of cab drivers, quite likely a direction worth some expansion. - Jmabel | Talk 19:38, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
