Take at look at WP:GNG - "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to be suitable for a stand-alone article". Articles from BBC, Scottish Daily Record, Reuters, Sydney Morning Herald, etc meet that guideline easily - Basement12 (T. C) 23:51, 7 August 2014 (UTC) reply
