Definitive details of this closed station are given in the Disused Stations website http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/t/tan_house_lane/ including the OS Map Reference which I am told is incorrectly formatted (it is perfectly meaningful as it is, it would be more helpful if people reformatted it rather than merely saying it is wrongly formatted.)
Reference to Tanhouse Lane Station already exists in Wikipedia in the Widnes Central entry.
If I knew how to classify it I would do so under Railway Stations closed in 1964, but when I tried I merely got the existing list and couldn't see how to add Tanhouse Lane.
I would like to edit the name to improve "Tanhouse lane railway station" to "Tanhouse Lane Railway Station" but I can't see how.
Further references could be British railways Atlas and Gazeteer" 5th Edition, reprinted 1998 pp45 and 79 ISBN 0 7110 0320 3 and Bradshaw's July 1922 Railway Guide Book Club Associates 1985 edition (no ISBN Number) pp720 & 726. Perhaps someone with experience of setting these things up could do so. — Preceding unsigned comment added by DavidAHull ( talk • contribs)
