Has anyone researched a possible link between the Italian word for a sabre/saber sword "sciabola" and the sword Excalibur. The word "sciabola" is sometimes used to describe swords generically despite there being a perfectly good Italian word for sword: "spada". There are so many spellings of Excalibur that I sense that there might be a link. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 220.235.224.24 ( talk) 09:31, 29 August 2015 (UTC) reply
