Please be careful in naming articles for this TV network, as ABC can mean "American Broadcasting Company", "Australian Broadcasting Corporation" and many more.
Also, don't use "ABC" per se, because in this case, "ABC" has a meaning, that is "Associated Broadcasting Company". You can use acnomyns as article names if the acronyms don't mean a thing, such as CBS and KFC (they've both dropped the meaning of their acronyms and go by with their TLAs. Thanks. -- Howard the Duck 13:14, 16 August 2006 (UTC)
I think you should name it to One TV (Philippine TV network), not Philippine TV Channel. Its so catchy and weird. So please I want to chane the naming of the article if 5 rebrands to One Tv. StevenNBA89 ( talk) 02:52, 1 July 2020 (UTC)
Lets discuss it here. -- Howard the Duck 06:48, 18 August 2006 (UTC)
I propose to move the articles below:
The "ABC" ancronym can be confused with other companies, especially the American Broadcasting Company in the United States. You may also check the articles, I think most of them were only copy-pasted from the website of ABC. - Danngarcia 14:41, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Lets keep the programming times for primetime - from 6:45 to sign-off only. -- Howard the Duck 10:06, 3 November 2006 (UTC)
The current program schedule has been vandalized. Can anyone fix this? TJ Reyes 06:52, 1 February 2008 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by TJ Reyes ( talk • contribs)

Now that the network has been renamed, shouldn't this article be moved to TV5 (Philippines) (which currently exists as a redirect) or something similar? I know it says "the corporate name is still Associated Broadcasting Company", but since the article is essentially about the channel itself, I think the title should reflect the channel's on-air name rather than the corporate name. (Besides, isn't "ABC Development Corporation" the actual legal name?) - Hinto ( talk) 04:03, 24 August 2008 (UTC)
How could Smart Communications be a subsidiary of Associated Broadcasting Company when in fact smart communications is a much larger entity that is owned by PLDT.
hollyckuhno ( talk) 16:42, 5 May 2011 (UTC)
Well it's not. You should be aware that a subsidiary is a smaller entity that is controlled by a higher entity. In this case, Associated Broadcasting Company is obviously the smaller one in terms of asset, net income, and revenue. hollyckuhno ( talk) 17:49, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
This page has a lot of vandalism lately especially from this user who insists that TV5 has an AM station. Please lock it INDEFINITELY. Ppby ( talk) 11:27, 14 May 2011 (UTC)
This article is very confusing. The article obviously refer to the television network itself but most of the content are all about the media company. We must understand that Associated Broadcasting Company is the legal name of the company while TV5 is the brand name of its flagship television network. Should we just make this article about the ABC (the company) not TV5 (the network). In that way, all of the relevant informations for the company (and so is the television and radio network, its subsidiaries and divisions) will be tackled. - hollyckuhno ( talk) 21:11, 23 January 2012 (UTC)
This article should be seperate into two pages: ABC Development Corporation and this article. Aztegdude ( talk) 14:30, 24 January 2012 (UTC)
The PLDT Group has other media holdings other than ABC (TV5). I suggest we modify the template to Mediaquest, Inc. to better reflect the extent of PLDT's media holdings. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ppby ( talk • contribs) 13:24, 9 June 2012 (UTC)
