The features section on this needs "slows down your computer to be unworkable" and "doesn't actually stop malware" added. What a useless turd of a program. Jtrainor ( talk) 22:30, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
The abbreviations IDS and IPS in the paragraph "Intrusion prevention" should be linked to the corresponding (explaining) articles.
It seems the page contains 90% of link to their own product websites. It needs to deleted since it violate the wikipeida policy for the long time. Most of the admin here will know very well that this web page is completely used for promotional activities. I would like to initiate deletion request for this page to through this kind of promotional content out of wiki. ( Aicte.david ( talk) 07:22, 18 October 2016 (UTC))
I've applied deletion request for McAfee_Endpoint_Protection wiki page & it's been removed recently, this particular page also have the same promotional aspects. So i am requesting for deletion. I believe that this deletion request is valid. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aicte.david ( talk • contribs) 09:15, 18 October 2016 (UTC)
I am affiliated with Symantec. The current article is a good start, but doesn't have many independent secondary sources and a lot of the information is a long list of releases or operating systems. I've put together a draft at Symantec Endpoint Protection/Draft as a proposed replacement that I think would bring the article up to the GA quality level and follow Wikipedia's prose-style format. In compliance with WP:COI, I would like to request a disinterested editor take a look and objectively consider whether the draft is an improvement, provide any feedback, etc. CorporateM ( Talk) 17:11, 2 May 2017 (UTC)

I'll review this. Mike Christie ( talk - contribs - library) 10:53, 7 February 2018 (UTC)
Endpoint Protection also includes new features: "new" isn't wrong, since these features were new to the version discussed, but it's a bit confusing since this is over ten years ago. How about "The first released version also included features not in the earlier products, such as the ability to block..."?
Version 14 is the only currently-supported release: should be qualified with an "As of".
It uses aggregate information from users to identify malicious software: I couldn't see support for this in the given source; can you point me at the relevant text?

The changes so far look good; let me know when you address the one remaining issue, re footnote 11. Mike Christie ( talk - contribs - library) 12:07, 8 February 2018 (UTC)
I did not see any mention here of the End of Life of Symantec Endpoint Protection, and its replacement by Symantec Endpoint Security. [1]— Wdfarmer ( talk) 02:01, 9 May 2021 (UTC)
