I believe that the swinging gate is rare in the NFL is rare because it's illegal in the NFL. Also, the diagrams are wrong. The inside tight end cannot be eligible because he is "covered up" by the center. Strictly speaking, you can have less eligible receivers. The most likely cause is having a WR cover a TE on the same side of the line. There is no penalty for having more than seven on the line, but it causes you to lose receivers. Farside268 ( talk) 02:33, 31 October 2015 (UTC)
