Jonny Fairplay is his given name for this season. It is effectively his name for Pearl Islands, but Jon is perfectly admissible there. There are few "types" of names, if you will. One is the given name in a confessional. Another is a nickname that is used in the confessional, as it has been since Fiji. (For instance, "Sarge," "Bubba," and, "Flica" would now have those names listed for their confessionals if they were to appear now.) Then there is a slightly altered version of a name, such as "Sue" instead of "Susan" in the case of Sue Hawk or Richard Hatch would be called "Rich," "Richard," "Hatch," or "Richard Hatch." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.152.244 ( talk) 15:26, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

An anonymous IP added viewership numbers at the end of the episode summary and I reverted it because of two reasons: 1) past seasons have not had this information, 2) I felt it was the wrong place to have that information.
I thought would bring up the topic for discussion: Do we want to include viewership numbers per episode in the article? If so where? My opinion would be to not include it because it's excess information and sort of covered in the main Survivor (U.S. TV series) article. However, if it is included, I would prefer to see in a separate section instead of integrated into any current section or table. -- Gogo Dodo ( talk) 21:52, 20 March 2008 (UTC)
Is it really necessary for Jonathan and Kathy's eliminations to have their own column on the chart considering there are no votes to be listed in it? I just merged Jonathan's with Chet's for Episode 6 and Kathy's with Tracy's for episode 7. I know in other seasons the quitter/medevac eliminations got their own column on the chart but that was because those got their own episode. In cases like Jonathan/Chet and Kathy/Tracy where they left in the same episode, I don't think its necessary to split columns. It also cuts down on the width of the chart which will be favorable in the long run when the season is over. MarkMc1990 ( talk) 19:42, 22 March 2008 (UTC)

I disagree with the current color. I think the actual color is much darker than the current color being used for Dabu. You get the lighter color when certain people fold their buffs to fit their wrists and whatnot. But if you look at the tribe flag background as well as the buffs, i see it as a much darker more vivid green, similar to #99FF66 MarkMc1990's suggestion to begin with Survivorfan101 ( talk) 09:59, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
#bfe7b2 |
Remeber, you get the lighter colors when the castaways turn the buffs inside-out. The merge color is a lime green. When you compare the lime green to the text saying "Dabu", it matches. #CCFF99 does not. You all know how in the past, the color text saying "Tribe" matches the tribe color. It's almost like a tradition. It's being carried on. MySurvivorPartay ( talk) 18:14, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

Hello to everybody here. Sorry I do not yet have an account on Wikipedia. In my own opinion the "official" tribe color should be the color used for the solid background on the Buff. Since Marquesas the Buffs have had their own patterns and decorations on their backgrounds, either relatively darker (e.g. All-Stars) or lighter (e.g. Cook Islands) than the original color. The Buffs used for Micronesia had decoration patterns (natives rowing boats) that were pure white, and they were so much more detailed and complicated and close together than their precedents that when looked from far away it makes the colors of the Buffs seem much lighter than they actually are. I own almost every merge Buff myself (bought them from CBSStore, etc.) and can be sure to say that the true Dabu Buff color is a lot less light and more vivid than #CCFF99. I guess the same can be said with Airai and Malakal, judging from the close-up shots on Buffs, the tribe flags, and the contestants' subtitles (even though the subtitles for the Younger Men's tribe in Exile Island definitely had a different color than the Buffs or the flag).
Here are the three colors I think should be close to the actual colors:

First, on Yap: This season took place in Micronesia, not just Palau. They may have used the same campsites, but the location is expanded to include all of Micronesia, which Yap is a part of. They also used the stone money of Yap in the tribal council set.
Secondly, Erik: Burton also gave up individual immunity in Pearl Islands, but he already had immunity anyway from having returned to the game. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.152.244 ( talk) 08:13, 15 February 2009 (UTC)

The description states that Cirie was shocked when Amanda pulled out the hidden immunity idol. However, if you watch the full voting confessional on the CBS website you can hear that Cirie clearly knew that Amanda was going to pull out the idol and was voting for Alexis as a part of an overall plan to use the idol against Alexis. That is why she can be seen smiling during the episode. The description as written is incorrect. This article is still under the heading of "Survivor: Micronesia." The shortened title is "Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites," not "Survivor: Micronesia." This is dictated by the show, not a matter of opinion. I am proposing that the font colors for both the pre-merge tribes, Airai and Malakal, be changed to white. The Dabu color is bright enough that a white font color would be extremely hard to read. Currently, the Airai and Malakal font colors are black, and I feel that, like other seasons, darker tribe colors should have a font color that contrasts for easy viewing. The current colors are on the left, while the proposed font colors are beside it in the table below. — Untitledmind72 ( talk) 22:11, 7 April 2010 (UTC)

Was it Eric or Jason who suggested the name "Dabu", falsely claiming it meant something in Micronesian? Worth adding, I think.

The trip to Yap. Is this the first time ever that Survivor has traveled to a different country from the filming location in a season? If so, this is wikiworthy. Rj1020 ( talk) 18:51, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
Is it notable that Erik was the first to give individual immunity in the history of the game? (Is this really the case?) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.138.125.221 ( talk) 22:55, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Should something in the opening paragraph (or an episode summary) that this is the season with the most players leaving the game without being voted out? That's Johnathan and Kathy, and James might have to go. ♥Shapiros10 Wuz Here♥ 11:24, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
i got this from reliable source, i'll add more later. Natelie and Alexis gets to at least top 5 This is known because alexis wins an reward challenge and brings natalie and its to see their family, natalie sees her mom. Parvati and Cirie are in the Jury by Top4. (along with already known Eliza, Jason) only 4 was shown in picture.
also this source "rumors" the final 3 isnt all female.
will it be wise to put a section on "spoilers and rumors"
just a thought
sorry if any of this is known, this was published a while ago and i didnt see it anywhere else —Preceding unsigned comment added by 222.152.65.154 ( talk) 12:57, 25 April 2008 (UTC)
If you care to see for yourself... http://www.cbs.com/primetime/survivor16/video/video.php?cid=709877189&pid=cssX1IB_8LwR0UCI9LjXixvUlyaCR_dS&play=true&cc=16 I'll wait and see what others think before attempting any edits. There are ways of writing that could clean that language up. Agrippina Minor ( talk) 16:45, 5 May 2008 (UTC)

i read this tabLe as..
on Reward ChaLLenge.. Erik wins the chaLLenge and take on Amanda with his Reward..
on Immunity ChaLLenge.. Erik wins the chaLLenge and shares NataLie his Immunity.. meaning Erik stiLL has immunity and cannot be voted out
but how about this?? how about adding strikethrough effect on Erik's name..

I think the show is going back to final two. Evidence #1: The commercial says there will be three tribals on the finale episode. Evidence #2: A spoiler site (a spoiler site that is ALWAYS right) named a 4th place taker, third place taker, and the final two. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rj1020 ( talk • contribs) 01:14, 11 May 2008 (UTC)
I think Parvati merits a page at least as much as other SUrvivors do. I'm starting one. KConWiki ( talk) 02:04, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
"Cirie was up next and asked Amanda why Parvati deserved a million dollars more than Parvati..."
What does this sentence mean? It's very confusing. I can't edit this yet because Survivor: Micronesia hasn't aired yet in Singapore. So someone please edit this. Aranho ( talk) 06:38, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Execpt for Eliza and James? And please link a Fans v.s. favorites to this article. 69.158.185.240 ( talk) 18:50, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
Are you sure the filming dates are right? Both Amanda and James stated that filming for micronesia started 3 weeks after china...and here it says that it's nearly 3 months. here's the link to her interview (and james can be found here as well): http://www.realitytvworld.com/news/exclusive-amanda-kimmel-about-micronesia-losing-survivor-twice-7096.php Small5th ( talk) 19:36, 12 May 2008 (UTC)
This article is still under the heading of "Survivor: Micronesia." The shortened title is "Survivor: Fans vs. Favorites," not "Survivor: Micronesia." This is dictated by the show, not a matter of opinion. The same is true for "Survivor: Exile Island," which is erroneously listed as "Survivor: Panama." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.20.152.244 ( talk) 15:24, 13 February 2009 (UTC)

Shouldn't it be that in the first episode, Jon's eliminated status cover the entirety of the row instead of putting "none" in the upper half of the row? I've shown a sample of what I'm thinking of below LordBelly06 ( talk) 10:50, 19 September 2010 (UTC)
