Under her "Reason for trip," it is stated, "Was told a vacation in which she would leave Jin, but loved him too much to do so; was actually accompanying Jin on a mission for her father."
To start, the first clause seems unclear. "Was told..." leaves ambiguity and seems very out of place. Also, as a devout fan of the series, I don't recall the information in the second clause about her knowingly accompanying Jin ever being stated anywhere in canon. I know it is a common fan speculation, but can anyone point to an official reference? -- User:Lion Wilson 01:46, 12 April 2006 (UTC)
Is there an official source that Sun's full name is indeed Sun-Soo Kwon? I have yet to see evidence from the show confirming this. As far as I know, all we have so far, as of the sixth episode of the second season, is that her name is Sun Paik. I am sceptical about her name being Sun-Soo Kwon for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, it would be really curious if she has indeed adopted her husband's surname, something unheard of in Korea. We know that she comes from the Paik family. Secondly, it seems odd for Jin-Soo and Sun-Soo to be a couple, just as it would seem a bit contrived if a couple were given rhyming names like Nancy and Clancy. I can only guess that Sun-Soo Kwon was extrapolated from Sun based on Jin's canonical full name being Jin-Soo Kwon. I just hope this bit of carelessness is not canonical, although I wouldn't be surprised if it were, given Lost's awful record on cultural accuracy. -- 219.254.220.163 07:15, 14 November 2005 (UTC)
I'm proposing that this page and Jin's be formally renamed to "Kwon Sun-Hwa" and "Kwon Jin-Soo," in keeping with standard Korean name order. See
Jin's talk page for discussion. —

I'm not an expert here or anything but the Hangul version of the name Kwon seems wrong to me. Anybody know for certain, the name looks like Beak as far as I can make out. Like I said though; I'm only learning to read Hangul so I could be wrong.
"She has the same name as the sun." Hilarious edit.
Hi, why was this article moved? I thought one of the producers clarified her name is Sun. (See section above for link, please.) -- Kjoon lee 04:34, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
