Copper ADM?

Is there such a thing as a copper ADM?

Yes. Probably better known as a Drop and Insert multiplexer used on T1 and E1 lines, but also on higher data rates. WLD talk| edits 18:53, 8 January 2007 (UTC) reply

Questions

How much latency does a branch introduce? Can it introduce errors? What other communication properties are affected by a branch? 78.147.50.51 ( talk) 17:38, 6 June 2013 (UTC) reply

When a branch has been added, the cable becomes a system with three or more end-points. What is the behaviour / networking semantics, protocol consequences of such a topology ? Is the inside of the cable to be considered like a broadcast domain, like in a LAN? So one end transmits to the two or more other ends ? CecilWard ( talk) 06:48, 30 September 2019 (UTC) reply
