A fact from Stephen Neill appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 1 February 2009, and was viewed approximately 362 times ( disclaimer) ( check views). The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that Stephen Neill, former bishop of Tirunelveli in Tamil Nadu, suffered from insomnia which helped him to author his magnum opus, History of Christianity in India? This article has been badly edited and a lot of obvious rubbish has been inserted into it plus some unreferenced assertions which might just contain a grain of truth. The reasons for Neill's resignation of his bishopric in India are far from clear. I will try and eliminate the errors and unsubstantiated claims now and so to impose basic order on the article and next week will work on some of the delicate points so far as my sources allow next week.
