Using the coordinates provided in the article, the Stephen site is located in Alberta, not in British Columbia, as stated in the article. The area generally known as the Burgess Shale is very close to the Alberta-B.C. border, however the more famous Walcott quarry site is located on the B.C. side of the boundary.
