The artist has listed the pronunciation of her last name as "See-WHO-ko". The phonetic spelling was included in the opening slide of her artist talk "Total Fabrications: Representation and the politics of imaging" at the
Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis. A recording of the artist talk is available on YouTube and cited here,[1] and you can hear her pronounce her last name by scrubbing to 7:35.
