Stacy's birthdate

There is no canonical proof that Stacy Rowe's birthdate is the date given in the last edit (21 January 1984). In itself, this is not a problem -- in many fandoms, birthdates and past events are "back-justified" using clues from the original series.

However, due to the fact that the rule of thumb in Seasons 1-4 was "two seasons=one year", there is a lot of controversy over the "real time" date the series ended. Did Daria and her friends graduate in 1999, 2000, or 2001? Stacy's birth year would have to change depending on which of the years you chose as the termination year for the series.

Even the thought that Stacy should be given a January birthdate because "Is It College Yet?" aired in January makes no sense. The original writer stated that Stacy should be assigned the January 21st date as a birthday based on when the final episode aired. However, in the episode, an unknown amount of time (but more than a day) elapsed between Stacy's birthday party and the conclusion of the episode.

It is untelling what Stacy's birthday is, but it undoubtedly not January 21st, 1984.
