Very confusing

Having two horses with the same name foaled in the same year is v. tricky. In my first attempt I had the St Leger winner being sold, moved to Newmarket and becoming a top-class sprinter-miler: I was conflating St Patrick (by Walton) with St Patrick (by Sir Walter). I think I'm correct in assuming that Sir Edward Smith and Sir Edward Dodsworth were the same person, but would be happy to be corrected.  Tigerboy1966  16:29, 31 March 2013 (UTC) reply
