This should probably move to St Albans City railway station as a logical dab already exists. MRSC 15:49, 12 October 2006 (UTC)

Lifts are currently being installed on the station footbridge as part of the Thameslink Programme, is it worth adding this to page? 81.144.251.46 ( talk) 09:07, 23 July 2008 (UTC)
The station has recently undergone a complete refurbishment and modernization. The main station building has been extended, to incorporate a new ticket issuing area, and to allow for an additional shop to be placed on platform 1. In addition to this, the station was modernized to be wheelchair friendly.
^ Feel free to modify this slightly. I think it needs to be posted on the main article as the photograph and details are no out of date. -- 86.5.94.33 ( talk) 19:02, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

I feel this needs to mentioned in this article especially if reliable sources can be cited. I discovered from watching Video 125's production Midland Mainline, which was produced in 2000, that the station was called St Albans at the time and the City suffix was removed in 1988 shortly before the launch of Thameslink services. I looked back through the history of the article and discovered the station still had the name St Albans without the suffix in images taken in 2007. However, I have so far not been able to find out when the City suffix was officially reinstated (on the station's signs anyway) but it must have been by 2018 when the current image of the station entrance was taken.
