It is believed that if a person drinks of Sri Ramanujacharya's milk as [[abhisheka]], all ailments will be cured. Followers of Sri Ramanuja, known as Sri Vaishnava, also believe that the worldly birth and death cycle can be overcome by letting an [[acharya]] or divine guide imprint the shamashrayana symbols ([[Panchajanya]])on the shoulders of the faithful.
