I was a student a
Union College 1977-1983. At some point in that period the engineering department became aware of a Whipple truss bridge which was to be demolished. So they arranged to disassemble it and rebuild it over a stream on the campus grounds. I thought at the time it was claimed that this was the only Whipple truss bridge still existing. I'm not putting this in the main article because I am running off vague 40 year old memories here.
