Logitech Media Server/Squeezebox Server

what media server protocols does slimserver support?

  • the itunes daap protocol?
  • the UPnP AV protocol?
  • others?
Just their own. It's a shame UPnP is not supported (I'm a upnp fan), but I have to admit their solution works better than any DLNA device combo I've ever seen...
The server does (or did at least) function as a UPnP media player though. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.78.167.76 ( talk) 18:04, 17 October 2009 (UTC) reply
LMS 7.7 works as an UPnP/DLMA server via a plugin made by Andy Grundman. Soulkeeper ( talk) 22:43, 20 December 2011 (UTC) reply

Broken link

The download link is broken; the Logitech site says the software is now from a "Logitech subsidiary" and links off its own site here: http://www.mysqueezebox.com/download Perhaps this link would be better? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.164.210.109 ( talk) 14:57, 3 June 2010 (UTC) reply

SqueezeCenterSqueezebox Server — Logitech has, once again, renamed SqueezeCenter to Squeezebox Server, starting with version 7.4. So we should rename the page and make a redirect from SqueezeCenter to Squeezebox Server -- Ofey65 ( talk) 09:44, 8 October 2009 (UTC) reply
