Some time ago, User:Disavian proposed merging with PVI_Virtual_Media_Services, but I don't see any reason to. None of the qualifications in Wikipedia:Merging#Reasons_for_merger are met and they're two completely different companies that have different services...so I don't see a point to merging. Howdy folks. Rick Cavallaro here. A couple of things... I'm listed in this article as Rick Cavaliers. Can I ask someone to correct the spelling? Also, it sounds as if I single-handedly developed the puck tracking technology. I was in fact the project manager and lead engineer, but we had a small team of contractors that were very much involved in the development of this system.
With regard to PVI - we were competitors, but friendly with them when working in the field. Ultimately PVI was sold - half to Sportvision and half to ESPN. I'll be happy to offer more details on this or other stuff if you'd like. I think it'd be nice to mention that Sportvision has dozens of patents and a number of Emmy's.
