I do not think this page should be deleted due to a lack of notability. Mexican Institute of Sound are a well known band not only in Mexico but in other countries, especially the US and this album is part of the band's work. Deleting the page would be deleting information that is pertinent to the bands notability. I am new to wikipedia so any guidance would be greatly appreciated. - Ok, let me explain. The band may be notable - that is a separate issue. However, that doesn't automatically mean that every album they produce is notable. Please see
WP:NALBUM. As you will see, Wikipedia only includes articles about albums that have been in a national music chart,
gone gold, won a significant award, or generated
significant media coverage. You need to edit the article to add evidence that one or more of those criteria are met. Otherwise, your draft will not be accepted and the draft will probably be deleted. The same applies to the other articles about their albums that you've created.

I would like to add these three sources to the Soy Sauce (album) page so that it can be marked as notable. IMSMTS: I have reviewed the three sources that you have requested to be added to the article. The first one has three paragraphs about the Soy Sauce album, with some of the same text found elsewhere e.g. at
[1] which gives me the impression that the text was written by the band or their PR company, rather than independently by Los Angeles Philharmonic. The second link, a New York Times article has four paragraphs that refer to the album, and in all of these the founder of the band is quoted talking about the album. In the third new source, a podcast, it is the band talking about their album. If you read
Wikipedia's guideline on the notability of albums you will see that acceptable sources that help show that a particular album is notable specifically excludes "publications where the musician or ensemble talks about the recording". So none of these sources provide the independent, in-depth coverage of the album that is required. So in addition, you could provide evidence that the album meets one or more of the other criteria listed such as the album being nominated for a major music award, or having been in the national charts.

- @ DrStrauss: Hello, I understand the podcast by KCRW is inadmissible but I believe the articles by the NY times and LA Philharmonic show the subjects notability because they are two very reliable sources and they show the album got international attention/coverage. In addition to the article by SPIN magazine which is already in the article.
