It has been common knowledge since about 1985 that the original South African Rand does not, in fact, depict Jan van Riebeeck, but rather Bartholomeus Vermuyden.
Yet other than for a single mention in a single paragraph, the entire article references the depiction of Jan van Riebeeck on the notes.
