Reaction

I realize this is a brand new article. And thanks to it's author(s).

Not enthused about the "reaction." This was a state statute that was struck down by the US Supreme Court. It seems to me that any "reaction" at this point, should be appeals by Vermont for "review;" a resolution passing Congress, certainly not merely submitting one to a committee that he, as a Democrat, can't get to the floor; maybe a statement by the President, or maybe something passed by the US Senate. Or a new law passed by the Vt. legislature that is deliberately worded to avoid the objections of this decision.

And knee-jerk reaction by partisan assessors. I realize that this may be all that is available at this point. We may have to wait for objective reaction from scholarly sources. But maybe some of the reaction could be eliminated until that time. Student7 ( talk) 23:45, 30 July 2011 (UTC) reply
