Well, it may be a lost cause, but I still like to see simple language. It helps the less-expert reader, and makes for easier translation into other languages. For example: "These 23 species are phylogenetically scattered in 11 genera in eight widely separated families". Instead "These 23 species are in 11 genera from eight widely separated families". Macdonald-ross ( talk) 11:31, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
It would be useful to give readers an idea of how large spider colonies tend to be.
