Any clue why the ITCP Evaluation -- China link was removed ? THI ( talk) 18:58, 17 May 2010 (UTC) reply

Because the linker was spamming it all over the place. -- Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) ( talk) 11:48, 19 May 2010 (UTC) reply
Odd link to spam. Would reinsert. on point and interesting link for this article. Also 国家烟草专卖局 link seems unhelpful for English wiki... THI ( talk) 02:53, 23 May 2010 (UTC) reply

prevalence of smoking in China vs. Chinese doctors

i wanted to know what percentage of the population of China smokes. who the heck cares what the prevalence is among Chinese physicians? what about other specific categories of Chinese professions like taxi cab drivers and IT techs? why are doctors worth mentioning in Wikipedia and why not tell us how common smoking is among all Chinese? 02:03, 15 June 2013 (UTC) Michael Christian — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.229.11.14 ( talk)

First sentence is misleading

350 million might be much by absolute terms, but out of 1.3 billion it's about 26,9%. That's not really much compared to other Western countries. -- 2.245.117.253 ( talk) 19:50, 21 December 2014 (UTC) reply

The SCOPE of this article is smoking in China, not smoking as a health crisis in China. There should be coverage of tobacco cultivation and the tobacco industry in China here as well, at minimum involving gloss paragraphs and links to new articles on those topics. —  LlywelynII 14:21, 20 October 2016 (UTC) reply
