Slavery is illegal under international law. I doubt the statement that "in some South American countries where state-sanctioned captivity of indentured workers still occurs". Is there any conclusive evidence of this? 125.237.105.102 ( talk) 07:02, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
I did a little bit of research and it turns out Slave Raiding was a very common thing in human history. We might have to break this article into sections for each specified area where there was a slaver.
Currently, I am seeing:
Spanish Portuguese Ottomans Various Arab Nations Other European Nations Boers Vikings Ancient times in the Mediterranian Mongols and steppe people's
I know that there were regular raids between some Indian kingdoms, kidnapping and Ransoming. Any other, please do add to this list for the Future.
