The Hindu has mentioned his Date of Birth is sourced from his personal claims, and Temple register. His name Shivanand is a fairly common name based on God Shiva. Pretty sure every year thousands of babies in India are named Shivanand and its spelling variations. I would not be surprised if the temple registers have more than a few entries for the name Sivananda Venkat TL ( talk) 12:42, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
Just curious, if his passport is not a valid proof enough, what is considered as a valid proof? At some point you may want to take things at face value and give credence to government level authorities and the documents they issue. https://www.news18.com/photogallery/world/123-yr-old-indian-monk-flashes-passport-claims-hes-worlds-oldest-man-2340287.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.204.228.140 ( talk) 14:44, 27 April 2022 (UTC)
@ Chiswick Chap I had added the notability tag. The award is a fourth highest in India and does not make the person notable on its own. Almost all the sources in the article were identical and based on the direct feeds of Press Trust of India. So I have kept a couple and removed all. This is a strong case of WP:BLP1E. The coverage is basically click-bait based on the sensational and unverified claim of 125 years old man. Venkat TL ( talk) 12:46, 26 March 2022 (UTC)
