The ODNB does place his birth in Cardiganshire, and is presumably based on more recent reaserch than that in the Naval Chronicle - how should we handle this?

The Naval Chronicle states that his father had lived in Cardiganshire, before moving to Areall Magna, and then Cheddington, and presumed he had been born at one of the two of the latter. But I expect if the ODNB can claim that it was in Aberystwyth then it has information that places the birth before the move, and I'm happy for it to be changed to that, and that he merely lived at the later two places.
