In modern day maps of the UK, the village is called "West Meon", to distinguish it from the nearby village of "East Meon". There is a larger settlement further away called "Meonstoke" and the names of all three arise from being in the "Meon Valley", through which the river Meon flows. I arrived at this page unexpectedly, using the search term "westmeon", hoping to find zero hits before moving on to trying "west<space>meon". Whilst my instinct is to correct what is in the main article here and never return, it occurs to me that this might cause search attempts on the one-word variant to fail. Would it be adviseable to list it doubly "Westmeon (West Meon)", so as to assure a hit, either way, or does that just look clumsy?
