"Closely connected with them were the Dositheans and Menandrians, who should be regarded probably as branches of the Simonians." Not very likely as Dositheus was the teacher of Simon Magus. Its more likely that the younger sent absorbed the older but that wouldnt make Dositheanism as branch of Simonianism.
