Is Jones really a welsh playing for england? The governing body is called the English and Wales Cricket Board, so I guess he plays for something like "England and Wales"? —Preceding

No, the team is called "England". Incidentally, Kevin Pietersen was born in S. Africa and still plays for England, a team selected by representatives of the England and Wales Cricket Board. Confused? It gets worse: check out the story of
Kepler Wessels or
John Traicos perhaps. --

Wales isn't a real country so doesn't have a national team - unlike Scotland, Ireland and England which are real countries so do have a team. Welsh people are more than happy to support or play for England, because they know that a backwater like Wales couldn't run a piss-up in a brewery.... yet alone have an international cricket team. —Preceding
