Signalman was a rating (speciality); not a rank. Rating is the term for the Navy's equivalent of the Army's MOS. I am tempted to change page title; but not knowledgable enough to know wnat if any problems that would create. -- Wfoj2 ( talk) 13:24, 18 October 2008 (UTC)
^^^What he said (above). Please change this. The correct headline would be "Signalman (rate)" I was a Signalman in the navy. Examples of different ranks within the Signalman rate would be "Signalman First Class (SM1), Signalman Third Class (SM3), and so on. Examples of different rates are Signalman, Yeoman, Boiler Technician, Gunner's Mate, and so on. This is a gross error, you should really change it. [1] [2] [3]
