Current event tag

I tagged the article as documenting an ongoing current event. (The FBI and USPS raided her home for evidence of campaign violations today.) There is nothing wrong with the article. Everything is adequately sourced at this time. Editors should remove the tag once the media coverage becomes more focused and the situation is clearer. add fbi investigation to the lede

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, along with agents from the Internal Revenue Service and United States Postal Inspection Service, raided Thao's home on June 20, 2024. [1]

All major news networks, including every network in the San Franciso, Oakland-Alemeda area as well as Fox News and NBC have all reported this investigation as primetime news. It would be ridiculous for this investigation to not be included with the lede. I need a consensus on the topic. 2603:8001:B5F0:8370:A9D2:5E9D:FCED:6A55 ( talk) 18:58, 23 June 2024 (UTC) reply

What are they investigating? See WP:BREAKING and WP:RECENTISM. Certainly an arrest would merit being mentioned in the lead, but this does not yet. –  Muboshgu ( talk) 19:01, 23 June 2024 (UTC) reply
Corruption and play-to-play schemes are the first thing. On Thursday, as federal agents walked out with boxes from Thao’s home, agents also executed warrants at the Oakland office of Cal Waste Solutions, which provides recycling services to the city, FBI officials confirmed. Agents also searched the homes of the company’s chief executive, David Duong; and his son, Andy Duong, a purchasing agent who is in charge of the company’s public relations. She is being accused of play-to-play schemes with her boyfriend. Please read here and learn.
