This is not entirely clear. Perhaps this could be rephrased a bit to be more understandable. 67.168.99.182 00:56, 8 October 2005 (UTC)
I heard that Sir Run Run stopped producing movies at the Shaw Studio ever since his wife died years ago. The company still holds the copyrights of many old movies, but nothing new was added for decades. After Sir Run Run stopped producing movies, did the Shaw's label continue on movies produced by other people? What happened to the many soundstages of the Shaw Studio? Did they demolish the building to sell the precious land or are the sound stages leased to TVB for TV productions? Such facts should be confirmed and added to the article. The Shaw Brothers marque was back in action in 2002 with a film called Drunken Monkey, written, directed and starring Lau Kar Leung. Will try to dig up some facts about other titles being produced, and the status of the studios. Wisekwai 15:38, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
While this is a Venoms movie, it isn't a Shaw Brothers movie as Kuo Chui, Chiang Sheng and Lu Feng had left before that so I'm removing it from the list. Lostinube 15:47, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
I think we have hit the point where we need to worry about the actor and movie list: left unchecked, its slowly on its way to becoming a list of every actor and movie related to SB, which is not something we want. Dxco 19:07, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

Image:Derekyee.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

this article says shaw released ~1,000 films, i think this needs a citation. celestial pictures lists 760 [1] although the wording is rather vague and may just refer to home video releases post-acquisition. 66.158.232.98 ( talk) 22:27, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
Article is written in past tense but does not detail any of the circumstances of the studio's closure. This would be a pertinent addition if anyone has the info. Ham Pastrami ( talk) 02:55, 5 April 2010 (UTC)
Lu Feng is linked in this article to a person that is not the Lu Feng of Shaw Brothers fame. This should be corrected either by replacing the page that was for the Shaw Brother's actor or this link should be removed. Sun Chien is linked to Sun Jian's article about the historical character and not the Shaw Brothers actor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by WereTech ( talk • contribs) 01:35, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
