Have added citation requests. This article makes medical claims relating to this position, and so it should have citations to suppose such claims. 83.244.153.18 ( talk) 14:55, 23 January 2009 (UTC)
"29 to 39 minutes"? I suspect a typo for "20 to 30 minutes". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.181.25.30 ( talk) 22:55, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
There should be more information in the “Etymology” section? Seems too short for the introduction to an article. Abbeyhayford ( talk) 21:48, 24 February 2017 (UTC)Abbeyhayford
-need to have more information under each subheading -need more content under integration or else combine with another subheading

WP:NOT instruction manual style replaced, temporary //onlyinclude// tags added for part-article transclusion, tighten syntax/grammar; remove sentence about encdocrine glands and chakras as not relevent here, and not ref'd after 13 months tagged.
Remove 2 external links: one to a blog site, both highly commercialised, and neither reliable: WP:EL, WP:RS.
Reliable refs still required for statements in text. Trev M ( talk) 20:38, 21 February 2010 (UTC)
I believe that using the roman characters savasana is incorrect. The pose name written in devanagari is शवासन, transliterated using IAST is śavāsana. ś is a voiceless palato-alveolar sibilant, and is pronounced like the sh in shin. By spelling it savasana, the s is implied to be a voiceless alveolar sibilant, like s in sip. This changes the sanskrit meaning of the word (savasana - सवासन - flower juice pose). This would be the same as writing shave as save - it changes the meaning. The proper spelling without diacritics should be shavasana, so that the word is pronounced correctly when read.
