Is this important?

I can personally verify the name of the pipeline contractor.

My father worked for Interpace (Lock Joint Pipe) in Botswana from 1971-1973. We lived in a small fenced residential compound adjacent to the plant where the pipe were made. I can locate the remnants of our home foundations on Google Earth.

My father was in charge of heavy equipment maintenance in repair for the fleet of vehicles that created the plant, dug the pipeline, and laid the pipe.

It is very difficult to find information on Interpace in Botswana...I am hopeful the information above will be useful. I can provide documentation, photos, and other information about the dam (I believe the English contractor for the dam was the "Burton Company"...and during construction, the dam was referred to locally as the Burton Dam.

More information about the dam, including the pipeline and dam contractors, would be useful, but has to have a reliable published source. This can be annoying when you have documents that give the information, but they have not been published. The sources do not have to be online. If you have, for example, a trade journal that gives relevant information, you could add the information and cite the trade journal. Pictures always improve an article, but must be free of copyright. Best is if the person who took the picture signs onto Wikimedia and uploads it, so any wiki article can then use it. Aymatth2 ( talk) 15:10, 30 December 2012 (UTC) reply
