I came across this page and started fixing up the formatting and references and found that the text was a direct copy of a newspaper article. Should this page be removed? Stellar 02:32, 25 August 2007 (UTC)
The title of this page should read "Shaaban bin Robert".
In the Swahili version, as well as in external literature, I found that Shaaban R., being of Yao origin, called himself consistently a "Swahili" in the sense of ethnicity, at a time when Swahili was still considered mostly an auxiliary language. Are there any sources whether this has to to with his Islamic creed - and, is it known how he came to adopt Islam?
