I have had an e-mail from a friend which says the seven virtues are kindness, humility, temperance, chastity, patience, persistence and charity. This is different to list in this article, so has he got his list from a different source?

Those are the seven capital virtues as listed in the final table in this article, except persistence has been put for diligence.
