I have not read the whole article but I would expect that I can find in the first part when this plan was used, now I have no idea, by following the May 13 incident link (which also should have a year attached to it) I understand that this is a plan in effect in the 1960'ish. I would update the article if I could easily find this info but I can not. Stefan 02:49, 16 March 2006 (UTC)
I believe there is some distinction in these terms, although the real point I want to make is that this article appears to have no focus on Islam/Muslims in Malaysia. It is a difficult topic to understand, but I do not believe one can fully consider the meaning of this article sans a discussion of the Islamic Government and the overlapping definitions of Muslim/Malay/Bumiputra. I also do not see a reference to Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad's key text, "The Malay Dilemma (1970)", that attempts to define/discuss Bumiputra/Malays using analogies to Native Americans in the US. —This unsigned comment was added by 71.193.42.0 ( talk • contribs) .

I just did a blitzkrieg of the article, removing many red, not working links. They only make the article look worse, and more importantly they serve no purpose. therefore I removed them. -- Paaerduag 12:55, 6 June 2007 (UTC)
This article is one of the oldest FA promotions that has not had a featured article review. Before the article is taken to a formal review, is it possible to clarify the allegations in the "Agriculture" section? I don't have access to the source cited at the end of the paragraph. Thanks. This article has been nominated for FA in the past, but it is not even an GA article. What do you think is needed to improve this article? Lbertolotti ( talk) 17:32, 14 September 2016 (UTC)
Searching Google, I found this PDF document hosted at pmo.gov.my. It's 267 pages long and says "...the Second Malaysia Plan, based on this Policy...". I'm assuming this is the base of the Second Malaysia Plan. Additional context is needed as to what exactly this document is. And then it should be added to the main article.
One book ( An Investment Perspective on Global Value Chains) cites the document as "Malaysia, Office of the Prime Minister. 1971. The Second Malaysia Pan 1971-1975. Kuala Lumpur: Government Printers. https://www.pmo.gov.my/dokumenattached/RMK/RMK2.pdf". I'm guessing this is the official title of the document, then. Mateussf ( talk) 21:23, 13 June 2023 (UTC)
