It is proposed that the two separate articles on Scouting and Guiding be merged into this article. The size of both organizations is small and it is difficult to demonstrate notability. It is unlikely that the single article will grow in the near future to be large enough that demands a fork. See the discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Scouting/Girl Guiding and Girl Scouting task force#United Kingdom outlying Guiding.
The disagreement about categories needs to be resolved here. The problem, to me, appears to be Category:Scouting and Guiding in Gibraltar where this article is the only member. All the other categories are parents of this category, and thus should technically be not used on this article. However, since Category:Scouting and Guiding in Gibraltar has only one entry, and this is likely to continue, I suggest that it be removed and then deleted as empty. -- Bduke (Discussion) 22:49, 13 April 2010 (UTC)
I can't buy into the validity of the removal of these for the stated reasons. -- Chris (クリス • フィッチュ) ( talk) 18:49, 15 April 2010 (UTC)
As a member of the 1/4 scouts in Gib in the 1970s I remember there being several other packs. I seem to recall the 2nd were extant, the 3rd hadmerged with the 5th to be the seas scouts There was an Air scout pack Then the Royal Green Jackets arrived and brought their pack, which I think went open as the 3rd Europa and outlasted the battalion. There might have been one more.
Does anyone have better information including formation / dissolution dates.
I know there were many guide troops but forget the numbering. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.6.99.67 ( talk) 22:50, 3 October 2017 (UTC)
