As a Jasper resident, I have known more about Scotty than most people. In High School, he was awarded the school's "Mr. Baseball" award; Matt Mauck (sic), a football player, also played baseball and was named "Mr. Baseball" as well. Both Mauck and Rolen's baseball coach was Terry Gobert, which I remember as my History teacher. If I was correct, Scott was with the 1996 Jasper Baseball team when they won their first State pennant. Jasper would later win state in 97, 98, 2000, and 2006.-- IViking ( talk) 15:33, 7 April 2010 (UTC)
